I find the textbook to by really helpful. In fact, I read Chapters 4 and 5 even though they weren't required reading. The book explains the process well and illuminates many things that needed clarifiction in my mind. I've ordered three books that were recommended by Dr. Baek a few days ago and expect them soon. I have not done as much as I would have liked with the literature review. :_-(... oh well, there's still time to work on it this evening. I found a meta-analysis that I think will be helpful, as well as several other articles that I think will fit in well with what I am investigating. I do find it difficult to wade through
all these articles. I think this will be the most challenging part of the project.

Pape,
I also find the textbook really helpful. Have you started on your preliminary thesis yet? The literature reviews are time consuming, especially since we have to compare articles with one another. Some of the readings in these articles can be quite deep.

I too have found the text book to most helpful. It clearly lays out the expectations that are needed to produce a good thesis.
I also agree with James in that the articles we read for the lit review are quite deep and need rereading. Good luck in your work.

The textbook is very helpful. I also found it helpful to be able to view the Master's Projects that are under the sample.
I am the most concerned with the literature reviews because of the huge amount of time that they are going to take, not only in reading them, but then in writing them.
By the way congradulations on getting your proposal approved. your project sounds very useful.
